Tapestries

Tapestries

Tapestries is a project that I started several years ago. As of now, it’s online to be released in the summer of 2010 as a book and CD. It consists of 12 songs interwoven with dialog that tells the story of a poor minstrel in 16th century France who falls in love with a Nobleman’s daughter.

It chronicles his adventures in trying to impress the young lady by becoming the King’s minstrel. My original intention was to have Tapestries made into a one hour animated television special. Somewhat along the lines of Harry Nilsson’s “The Point” which was released in 1971.

The story is aimed at the teen and preteen age group. It’s essentially a love story set in medieval France. Of course, it’s “G” rated. There are 12 songs as it stands now. Four of them are published with the publishing “open” on the other eight. The dialog and story are copyrighted but not as yet published.

A demo of the album has been made but no animation has been attempted. The project, if completed as a book with an accompanying CD should be ready for release in the summer of 2010. If it develops into an animated film, it will be at least another year before it’s released.
