Welcome to Randy Benjamin Publications. This website is a combination of my writing and music sites though it’s primarily designed so that editors can view clips of magazine and newspaper articles I’ve written. The Internet Guide is in its 8th year of publication and is syndicated to 23 newspapers and periodicals. I started the Guide column in the summer of 1998. As a computer technician with over 25 years experience, I decided I’d rather write about computers than work on them. The column was first published in my home town newspaper, the Vincennes Sun Commercial in Vincennes, IN. It has since been syndicated to newspapers in three surrounding states.

The success of the column inspired me to release three books...The Internet Guide Handbook, More Of The Internet Guide, and The Healthy Computer. The last book was actually a CD. I included a CD insert with my second book, More Of The Internet Guide Guide and it worked out so well that I decided my next book would be released on CD only. The advantages of the CD medium were just too overwhelming. Not only would all of the links in the articles be active, but I could include music, audio, and video on the CD as well.

Since I’ve combined my music and writing into one website, I’ve provided  links so that music publishers and artists can listen to my original compositions. I’ve been a BMI writer for over 40 years. Randy Benjamin Music is my publishing company. It’s a BMI (Nashville) affiliate. My latest project is a book/album called “Tapestries.”  I wrote it as a one hour animated television special. The first four songs can be heard by clicking on the “Tapestries” book cover above.

Other original songs can be heard by clicking on the spinning CDs at the bottom of the page. I’m singing the vocals on all of these demos. I was a staff writer/artist for several labels in Hollywood CA and Nashville TN. My last major label recording/writing contract was with Mercury Records (Hollywood).

I’m just about finished writing a new horror novel called, “The Anomaly.”  The story is set at Fermilab in Batavia, IL. Fermilab is the home of one of the worlds largest particle accelerators. The story is about what happens when the accelerator is radically upgraded and brought on line for the first time. It breaks through the space-time continuum and some very strange and scary things start happening. Click on the turning pages below to preview three sample chapters.
